The King of Mushroomland (King Toadstool)

Princess Peach's father, the King of Mushroomland, is a dim-witted, ineffective ruler. He is often being transformed into animals by Bowser and requires help from the Mario Bros. to return to his kingly form. The King is the only person in Mushroom Castle not affected by the dulling powers of Bowser's "Stoopid Bomb". Everyone in the kingdom thinks the king is dumb, so it's no surprise that his daughter frequently handles all the ruling duties.

King Toadstool appears only in the Nintendo Comics System and Nintendo Adventure Books series, although he might be the King of Grassland from Super Mario Bros. 3.

The King wears purple robes edged in gold, and a large onion-shaped crown. The King is known for his collection of over 2,000,000 crowns (but only one pair of socks). He also has a large collection of peanut butter jars.

 

Grandma Toadstool

Grandma Toadstool lives over the river and through the woods in a quiet Mushroom village. Unfortunately, she lives right in the middle of the woods where the Big Bad Wolf lives.

Grandma is fooled by Koopa into leaving her cottage in the middle of winter so that he can set a trap for her granddaughter.

Grandma used to ride snowmobiles in her youth, but little else is known about her.
