Needs rescued It looks like this Peach got a graphical update since her first Super Mario appearance. She looks much better than her original incarnation, although she looks a lot like the original Princess Zelda sprite here. The color palette looks to be the same as in the original Super Mario Bros. |

Playable This is Peach's first playable role. She looks very different from her Super Mario Bros. sprite, and more like her later game appearances. Peach has the special ability of floating jumps that nobody else on the team has. However, she is slowest at picking up items and running while carrying something. |

Playable Although the story starts in typical Mario fashion - Peach being carried off by Bowser - the plot takes an unusual turn when a giant sword crashes into Bowser's castle, scattering everyone inside. Peach winds up inside Booster Tower, where the owner decides he should marry her. After being rescued by Mario and his party, Peach decides to join the group and help save the world. Her specialty is healing moves, but she's a decent fighter as well. |

Playable in between chapters - Peach collects information about the X-Nauts' plans and emails it to Mario using supercomputer TEC. She also takes showers (no, really). |

Non-playable - The game begins with Peach's voice being stolen by an evil witch, and Mario and Luigi need to help recover it. |

Cameo appearance: Peach is featured in one of the portraits visible inside Hyrule Castle, along with Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Bowser. There are also rumors that Malon was inspired by Peach, as Talon and Ingo resemble Mario and Luigi, respectively. Malon and Talon both wear Bowser-head amulets. |

Cameo - Two nearly-identical blonde girls (Peach and Daisy?) appear in the title screen with Mario and Luigi. They're dressed in blue and green rather than pink and yellow, but I think the blue one is Daisy (her bangs are slightly different). Neither princess is wearing a crown or necklace. I think this is the first time Peach was actually shown as a blonde in-game. The girls also appear when you're within putting range on the golf course.

Cameo appearance - after a player completes level 9, height 5 on "B game", the Princess appears along with Mario and Luigi on the NES characters screen. |
Dr. Mario |
NES |
|
|
Cameo appearance - the Princess appears in the instruction manual as Dr. Mario's nurse, but she never appears in the game itself! |
Yoshi's Cookie |
SNES |
1992, 1993 |
|
Playable - The Princess is selectable in VS mode (although her stats are very low), and she also appears in the game ending. The graphic style for this game is unique. Mario is Super Mario World style, Yoshi looks to be from Yoshi's Island, Bowser looks like a redone version of his SMB3 form, and Peach is completely new. Her dress looks frillier than usual. |
Hotel Mario |
CD-i |
1994 |
|
The Phillips CDi system had one Mario title and three notoriously bad Zelda games in its short run. I've never played it, but the game looked like a standard "rescue the Princess" title, set in a series of hotels in the Mushroom Kingdom. Apparently, your job is to close all the hotels by "condemning" them and keeping the Mushroom Kingdom from becoming a Koopa Resort. |

Mario is Missing! |
SNES |
1993 |
|
Cameo appearance - a Peach lookalike (the sprite looks like a slight recolor of her Super Mario World sprite) appears at the INFO booths around the world, providing data on various stolen objects. She only appears in the SNES version. Some people have theorized that this might be Daisy rather than Peach, but it's never stated one way or the other.
|
Mario's Early Years series |
SNES |
1993-1994 |
|
Playable - A badly-sprited Peach appears on the raft with Mario and Yoshi, and you can select her as your avatar character in the educational "worlds". She appears in sprites (some are okay, but most are bad) within these worlds as well. The graphics look bootlegged, even though this is an official title. Yoshi looks too skinny and stretched out, Luigi looks like an ape, and Peach just looks awful. The only decent-looking graphics were taken from Super Mario World, and are incongruous with the other sprites. It's rather embarrassing that this is an authentic Nintendo product.

Mario Teaches Typing |
PC |

|
Playable - Peach is a selectable character, along with Mario and Luigi, who travels through an overworld, underwater, and a castle as the player types. I seem to remember her dress being purple rather than pink. |

Screenshots will be added eventually - I will need to photograph, screencap, or download what I still need.
Missing data (game role and years of games) will be added soon as well.
I'm sure there are games I'm missing. Could you please email me with the titles of any Peach appearances that I don't have listed?
